Brainmap™ Cognitive Assessment
Every child is clever in their own way. When a child struggles at school, we usually see only the tip of the iceberg — the grades, the unfinished homework, the “he just doesn’t listen”. Brainmap™ looks beneath the surface at the 26 cognitive skills that make learning possible, so you can support the cause, not just the symptoms.
- 90-minute assessment at our Damansara centre
- Full, in-depth cognitive report of strengths and growth areas
- 1-hour consultation one-to-one with you
RM499 all-inclusive, for babies from 9 months to secondary school.
- Auditory Processing — Temporal lobes · how the brain listens and holds what it hears (4 skills)
- Visual Processing — Occipital lobe · how the brain sees, reads and maps space (6 skills)
- Attention & Focus — Prefrontal cortex · the brain’s spotlight and brakes (6 skills)
- Sensory-Motor — Motor cortex + cerebellum · how body and brain work together (5 skills)

- Think — Analysing, questioning and reasoning — moving from answers to insight.

Who we are
We don’t just teach subjects. We build stronger, calmer, more confident minds.
Some brains never truly slow down. Thoughts race, emotions arrive fast, and everyday learning feels heavier than it should. BrainWorks gives children a structured, supportive place where focus, emotional balance and self-control are strengthened step by step.
Through guided brain-based training and small-group Cambridge teaching, children learn to settle, organise their thinking and respond with clarity and confidence — at a pace that lasts.
Frequently asked questions
About BrainWorks
What is BrainWorks?
BrainWorks is a neuroscience-based learning centre in Damansara. We teach the Cambridge curriculum in small groups and strengthen the thinking skills underneath learning — attention, focus, memory, reasoning and emotional regulation — so children learn with more ease and confidence.
How is BrainWorks different from tuition or a typical learning centre?
Tuition usually repeats content until the exam. We look for what is getting in the way of learning — focus, processing, memory, confidence or emotional regulation — and strengthen it, alongside the Cambridge curriculum. Every programme combines four modules: academic, cognitive, character and skillset.
What is the BrainWorks Method?
Our ten-stage brain training framework: Attention, Focus, Retain, Link, Build, Recall, Think, Decide, Act and Evolve. Each stage builds on the one before it, and the method runs through every BrainWorks programme.
Who is BrainWorks for?
Children and teenagers from every learning background — international, mainstream and home-based education — from students who need extra support to gifted students who need more challenge. We also support adults who want to strengthen focus, processing and executive functioning.
What ages do you teach?
Our Cambridge pathway runs from Year 1 to Year 11 (IGCSE). Our cognitive development and learning support programmes are open to children, teenagers and adults.
Where are you located?
Rooftop Garden, The Club by M, Bukit Utama Golf Resort, Club Drive, Persiaran Bukit Utama, Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya. We also provide transport for students who live around the Klang Valley. Get directions
Is the campus safe?
Yes. Our campus sits inside the golf resort, where private security guards and auxiliary police (polis bantuan) patrol the grounds.
Can I visit the campus?
Of course. WhatsApp us to arrange a visit, meet our programme specialist and see the campus for yourself.
Cambridge Programme
Do you offer the Cambridge programme?
Yes. Our full-day Cambridge Programme runs from Year 1 to Year 11 (IGCSE). For students who study elsewhere during the day, our After School Programme adds Cambridge coaching and brain training on weekdays.
What does a typical day look like?
Sport runs 8:30 to 9:30am, then breakfast. Learning follows in two blocks from 10am to 12pm, then a 30-minute lunch, and two more blocks from 12:30 to 2:30pm — four hours of learning in all. The day closes with revision and assessment from 2:30 to 3pm, and students go home at 3pm.
How big are the classes?
Four to six students per coach. Each class has its own coach, supported by a senior coach, so every child gets personal attention.
Is the Cambridge curriculum recognised?
Yes. The Cambridge International curriculum is internationally recognised, and Cambridge qualifications are accepted by universities worldwide.
Will my child sit for Cambridge examinations?
Yes. Our coaches teach the Cambridge curriculum and prepare students to sit for Cambridge examinations, including IGCSE.
How do I know the programme is working?
Every week, students sit a short assessment on the topics covered, and you receive a weekly report — so you can follow your child’s progress closely instead of waiting for end-of-term exams.
What if my child needs more time on a topic?
We teach for mastery: a child moves on once they truly understand. When needed, we arrange extended sessions beyond the normal day to help them get there.
What learning materials do you use?
We design and print our own worksheets, matched to each student’s level and learning plan, alongside the Cambridge curriculum.
Programmes & Sport
What is the After School Programme?
Weekday Cambridge coaching and brain training for students who study elsewhere during the day — so they finish the day stronger, not just busier. WhatsApp us for the current timetable.
What are the Weekend Drop-off Sessions?
Four focused hours of academic coaching, thinking skills, new skills and character building — 9am to 1pm or 1pm to 5pm. They suit students who can’t join on weekdays but want extra support.
Do you have part-time or flexible options?
Yes. Besides the full-day programme, we offer the After School Programme, early-morning sessions and weekend sessions. Tell us your child’s schedule and we’ll suggest the best fit.
What sports do students do?
Swimming, football, badminton, tennis and golf, using the resort’s facilities close to our campus, as part of the weekday programme.
Why does the day start with sport?
Movement wakes up the body and the brain. Starting with sport helps children settle and focus for learning, and builds coordination, teamwork and confidence.
Learning Support
Does my child need a diagnosis to join?
No. Many of the children we support have no diagnosis — they may simply struggle with focus, confidence, emotional regulation, processing or learning.
Do you support ADHD, autism or dyslexia?
Yes, case by case. We support children with mild learning differences — including ADHD, high-functioning autism and dyslexia-related reading difficulties — by strengthening attention, processing, reading, communication and emotional regulation according to each child’s needs.
Do you diagnose learning difficulties?
No. BrainWorks provides educational and cognitive development support, not medical diagnosis or treatment. For a formal diagnosis, please consult a qualified doctor or psychologist — we’re happy to work alongside them.
What is the BrainWorks Learning Support Assessment?
An assessment that helps identify possible root causes behind a child’s difficulties. It can look at attention, focus, memory, processing, reasoning, communication, emotional regulation, behaviour and confidence.
What happens after the assessment?
We sit down with you to discuss your child’s strengths, any areas of concern, and our recommended next steps and support options.
How do I know if my child may need support?
Common signs include low confidence, emotional overwhelm, trouble focusing, slow processing, avoiding homework or study, anxiety, behavioural struggles or results that go up and down.
Is BrainWorks suitable for anxious or sensitive children?
Yes. We keep the environment calm and encouraging, and we never use punishment-based teaching. Children learn best when they feel safe.
Do you offer one-to-one support?
Yes. Depending on your child’s needs, we offer one-to-one sessions as well as small-group support.
Can adults join?
Yes. Adults who want to strengthen focus, processing, executive functioning or emotional regulation can join our cognitive development programmes.
How long does progress take?
It’s different for everyone — consistency, emotional wellbeing, the challenges involved and the home environment all play a part. Regular feedback shows you how things are moving.
